At Vantiva, we are committed to connecting consumers to the content they love while prioritizing sustainability. Last September, we reached a significant milestone with our V7c Android TV set-top box, developed in collaboration with Proximus, earning the CSI Magazine Award for “Best Sustainability Project or Initiative.”
Pioneering Sustainable Technology
The V7c set-top box, crafted with Belgium’s leading provider, Proximus, exemplifies our commitment to sustainable technological advancements. By utilizing cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly design, we have successfully reduced power consumption by 20%-40% and decreased plastics usage by 20% compared to earlier models.
Incorporating 100% post-consumer recycled plastics, the V7c leads the way for future eco-conscious electronics.
Advancing Eco-Friendly Customer Premises Equipment
Launched in March, the compact V7c measures just 13cm by 13cm and supports IPTV/OTT with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. These features enhance user flexibility and contribute to a notable reduction in carbon footprint. The transition from a 28nm to a 16nm chip has optimized power efficiency and processing speed, underscoring our drive for technological excellence.
Our efforts to minimize device size and power consumption have led to reduced Scope 3 emissions, aligning with Proximus’s circular economy goals as they strive for zero waste by 2030.
Commitment to Sustainable Innovation
Vantiva’s 130-year legacy is built on delivering market-leading solutions that matter most. We are dedicated to integrating sustainability into all aspects of operations, from resource-efficient product design to educational initiatives promoting eco-friendly practices.
This award not only acknowledges our achievements but also inspires our future endeavors. It motivates us to continue innovating sustainably and to explore new possibilities through industry collaboration. Together with Proximus, we take pride in this accolade as a testament to our shared dedication to a sustainable future for everyone.
